Persian Gulf Stocks: Saudi Hollandi Bank, Tamweel PJSC of Dubai

Dubai’s benchmark DFM General Index (DFMGI) fell for a fourth day, declining 0.6 percent to 1,480.18 at the close in the emirate. Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index retreated 0.8 percent.

The following shares were active in the Persian Gulf region. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Saudi Hollandi Bank (AAAL) gained 4.9 percent, the most since October last year, to 27.7 riyals. The lender partly owned by ABN Amro Holding NV posted a 26 percent increase in second- quarter profit to 332.3 million riyals ($89 million), beating analysts’ estimates.

Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL) tumbled 3.1 percent, the most since June 3, to 1.24 dirhams. The mortgage lender posted a 33 percent drop in second-quarter profit to 18.6 million dirhams ($5 million.)
