Former British Airways CEO Colin Marshall Dies, Times Reports

Colin Marshall, a former chief executive officer of British Airways Plc and ex-president of the Confederation of British Industry, has died, the Times reported.
Marshall, who was 78, led British Airways for 13 years prior to the company’s privatization in 1987, the London newspaper said. Marshall had also served on the board of HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBA) and as chairman of Invensys Plc (ISYS) and Inchcape Plc. (INCH)
He was made a peer in the House of Lords in 1998 and had the title Lord Marshall of Knightsbridge, according to the U.K. Parliament’s website.
