Turkish Stocks: Anadolu Sigorta, Turkish Airlines Are Active

Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index (XU100) climbed 1.3 percent to 62,780.58 at the close of trading in Istanbul at 5:30 p.m. Gains for the week were 0.4 percent.

The following shares are active. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Anadolu Anonim Turk Sigorta Sirketi (ANSGR) , Turkey’s biggest non-life insurer, rose 1.1 percent to 90 kurus. The company reported premiums of 977.2 million liras ($537 million) in the first five months of the year.

Turk Hava Yollari TAO (THYAO) , the carrier known as Turkish Airlines, advanced 1.6 percent to 3.19 liras. The company’s price estimate was increased to 2.9 liras per share from 2.21 liras per share at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Goldman kept its “sell” rating on the company citing second-quarter earnings that “could disappoint regarding passenger yields,” according to an e-mailed report.
