Tropical Storm in Pacific Waters Off Mexico May Become Hurricane

Tropical Storm Daniel is moving west with 65 miles (100 kilometers) per hour winds over Pacific waters about 640 miles south-southwest of the tip of Mexico’s Baja California, the National Hurricane Center said today.
The storm may grow to hurricane status of 74 mph sustained winds later today though it’s no danger to land, the Miami-based center said in a 2 a.m. Pacific time website advisory.
