Libyans go to the polls today for the country’s first free vote in more than 40 years, selecting a 200-seat interim legislature that will appoint a prime minister who will form the Cabinet.
A total of 80 seats have been reserved for political parties, and 120 seats are set aside for individuals. Some groups are fielding individual candidates to contest those seats.
The list below includes the largest groups out of a pool of 142 parties. There are also more than 3,700 individuals competing for seats.
