Ukrainian President Wants Currency Corridor, Interfax Reports

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said the national currency, the hryvnia, needs a trading band, Interfax-Ukraine newswire reported, citing an address by Yanukovych to parliament, the text of which was handed out to lawmakers.
The Kiev-based Natsionalnyi Bank Ukrainy controls the hryvnia exchange rate by buying or selling dollars on the interbank market.
