Italian 10-Year Bonds Extend Gain; Yield Declines to 5.70%

Italian bonds rose, reversing an earlier decline, pushing 10-year yield down 12 basis points, or 0.12 percentage point, to 5.70 percent as of 8:59 a.m. London time. The rate earlier climbed as much as five basis points to 5.87 percent.

Similar-maturity Spanish bonds also advanced, with the yield falling 12 basis points to 6.21 percent.
