Hilton, Inveravante Group to Open Hotels in Morocco’s Tangier

Hilton Worldwide, a unit of Blackstone Group LP (BX) in 2007, agreed with Inveravante Group to operate two new hotels in the Moroccan city of Tangier.

The two properties, Hilton Tanger City Center Hotel & Residences and Hilton Garden Inn Tanger City Center, are the operator’s first in the city, the company said in an e-mailed statement today.

The 182-room Hotel & Residences will include 68 apartments and is scheduled to open in 2015. The Hilton Garden Inn will have 233 rooms and opens in December 2014, according to the statement.

Inveravante, founded by Manuel Jove Capellan in 2007, has energy and food businesses as well as real estate and tourism, according to the statement.
