Exxon Mobil to Flare Gas at Its Torrance Refinery July 5-6

Exxon Mobil Corp.’s Torrance, California, refinery will flare gases July 5 and 6, according to a notification from the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

The flaring is related to scheduled maintenance, said Gesuina Paras, a Torrance-based spokeswoman for Exxon Mobil.

The refinery, near Los Angeles, can process 150,000 barrels of crude oil a day, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
