New York City June Average Taxi Medallion Sales Price

The cost of an individual taxi cab medallion was unchanged in June, according to the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission.
The medallion, the aluminum plate found on the hood of all cabs in New York City, gives the owner the right to operate a taxi. In June, the average price was unchanged at $704,000 from $704,000 a month earlier. This month 17 individual medallions were transferred; 84 have been transferred in 2012.
