Colombia Stocks: AviancaTaca, Davivienda, Exito, Petrominerales

The following companies had unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close of trading.

The IGBC Index (IGBC) rose 1.5 percent to 13,417.51 while the Colcap Index increased 1.8 percent to 1,640.01, paring its quarterly decline to 5.9 percent.

Almacenes Exito SA (EXITO) , the largest publicly traded retailer in Colombia, gained 2.2 percent to 29,540 pesos. Exito gained for the third day after the Bolsa de Valores de Colombia SA said it may jump four spots to fourth place on the Colcap index in a quarterly rebalancing effective July 1.

AviancaTaca Holding SA (PFAVTA) , the owner of Colombia’s biggest airline by passenger miles, increased 2.6 percent to 3,770 pesos. The company had 1.8 million passengers in May, a 10 percent increase from the year before, according to a regulatory filing yesterday.

Banco Davivienda SA (PFDAVVND) , Colombia’s third-biggest bank, rose 3.7 percent to 22,000 pesos. Davivienda sold $500 million of 10-year dollar bonds with a 5.875 percent coupon. It’s a “good rate compared to its historical issuances,” Rupert Stebbings, Colombia managing director at Celfin Capital, wrote in an e-mailed note.

Oil producers advanced as crude in New York rose the most in more than three years.

Petrominerales Ltd. (PMGC) , a Calgary-based oil company that operates in the Andean region, rose 3.4 percent to 20,080 pesos. Ecopetrol SA (ECOPETL) , the country’s largest oil company, increased 1.7 percent to 4,985 pesos. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (PRE) , which operates the country’s largest oil field, gained 1.1 percent to 37,800 pesos.
