Chilean Retailer La Polar Receives $46 Million Bill for Taxes

Empresas La Polar SA (LAPOLAR), the Chilean retailer trying to avoid its second bankruptcy in 13 years, has received a tax bill from the country’s revenue service totaling 23.6 billion pesos ($46 million).

La Polar disclosed the tax bill in a statement posted on the website of the Santiago stock exchange.
