Shrill Agrees to Buy Paysafecard.Com for $174 Million

Investcorp, a Bahrain-based private equity firm, said its Skrill unit agreed to buy paysafecard.com Wertkarten AG, an Austrian provider of prepaid vouchers that enable consumers to shop online, for as much as 140 million euros ($174 million).

The combined group will have more than 27 million end- users, almost 130,000 merchant customers and over 100 different payment options in more than 40 currencies, Investcorp said in a statement on its website today.
