Egypt Buys 3.7 Million Tons of Wheat From Local Farmers

Egypt, the world’s biggest wheat importer, bought 3.7 million metric tons of the grain from local farmers since the start of the harvest season in March, Planning and International Cooperation Minister Fayza Aboulnaga told reporters today.
Egypt now has enough wheat to meet local demand until January, she said.
