Argentine Stocks: Molinos Rio de La Plata, Tenaris Were Active
The following companies had unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the close in Buenos Aires. The Merval (MERVAL) index rose 0.1 percent to 2,279.52.
Molinos Rio de la Plata SA (MOLI AF) advanced 2 percent to 22.95 pesos. Argentina’s largest food company rose for a second day after it announced June 25 the acquisition of snack company Emprendimientos Joralfa SA for $15.2 million.
Tenaris SA (TS) increased 0.8 percent to 107.7 pesos and was the most active stock today by value with 8.5 million pesos ($1.9 million) changing hands. The world’s largest producer of seamless steel tubes used in the oil industry rose in line with the price of crude in New York.
