Peru Stocks: Buenaventura, Candente, Credicorp, IRL
The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the market close in Lima.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) fell 0.3 percent to 20,372.07. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index dropped for a fourth session, losing 0.3 percent to 2,703.42.
Minera IRL Ltd. (MIRL) , a U.K. gold producer with a mine in Peru, plunged the most this year, falling 10 percent to 70 cents after a newspaper reported protests may resume where the company is developing its Ollaechea gold project, said Carlos Rojas, a trader at Andino Asset Management SAC.
Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, fell 1.6 percent to $37.90 after gold declined in New York.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian mining exploration company with operations in Peru, slid 1.8 percent to 53 cents after copper dropped in New York.
Credicorp Ltd. (BAP) , Peru’s largest financial-services company, declined 1.3 percent to $123.60.
