Berkshire Furniture Unit Names Pederson CEO as Arnold Retires

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK/A)’s CORT furniture-rental unit named Jeff Pederson as chief executive officer, replacing Paul Arnold, who is stepping down after 40 years at the company, including two decades as CEO.

Pederson has served as president since 2006 and was previously chief financial officer, according to a statement today from Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire’s CORT unit.
