Syria Shot Down Turkish Plane, Apologized for It, Haberturk Says

Syria has apologized to Turkey for shooting down a military plane over the Mediterranean, Haberturk television reported.

The Turkish pilots are alive and Syria has apologized, saying the shooting was a mistake, Haberturk cited Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying. He was speaking to reporters on a plane taking him back from the G20 summit.
