Ukraine Grain Stockpiles Seen Jumping to 12 Million Tons
Ukraine’s grain stockpiles will climb almost threefold by the end of the month to 12 million metric tons, said Mykola Bezuhlyi, deputy agriculture minister.
Stocks were 4.3 million tons as of July 1, according to state statistics office data.
Farmers will harvest 48 million to 49 million tons of grains this year, Bezuhlyi told reporters in Kiev, the capital, according to a statement published today on the government website. Exports in the marketing year from July 1 may rise to as much as 27 million tons, he said.
