Japan Purchased 6.5% of EFSF Bonds Sold Yesterday, Official Says

Japan purchased 6.5 percent of the debt sold by the European Financial Stability Facility yesterday, a Japanese Finance Ministry official said.

The nation bought 65 million euros ($82.4 million) of 1 billion euros in seven-year bonds, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the ministry’s policy.
