California Lawmakers Agree With Brown on Welfare to Clear Budget

California lawmakers said they reached an agreement with Governor Jerry Brown on welfare funding in the next fiscal year.

The accord clears the final sticking point keeping the Democratic governor from signing the state’s $92 billion budget for 2012-2013 approved June 15.
