Bahrain Banks Profit May Grow Up to 8% in 2012, al-Khaleej Says

Bahrain’s banks may post 5 percent to 8 percent growth in profit this year, Akhbar al-Khaleej reported, citing Adnan Yousif, chairman of the Union of Arab Banks.
Yousif, who also serves as president of Albaraka Banking Group (BARKA), added that lenders in Bahrain will benefit this year from increased government spending on projects, the Bahraini newspaper reported.
