Egyptian Stocks: Orascom Telecom Media, National Co. for Maize

Egypt’s benchmark EGX30 Index (EGX30) rose for the first time in five days, gaining 0.5 percent to 4,108.4 at the 2:30 p.m. close in Cairo.

The following shares were active on the Egyptian Exchange. Stock symbols follow company names.

National Co. for Maize Products (NCMP EY), which uses imported corn to make sweeteners, advanced 1.6 percent, the most in two weeks, to 14 Egyptian pounds. Shareholders on record today will receive a 1.575 pound dividend a share.

Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding SAE (OTMT) increased the most in a week, advancing 2.3 percent to 1.31 pounds. Shareholders of the Cairo-based company are due to meet June 28 to vote on a 1.05 pound-a-share dividend distribution.
