Panasonic, China Mengniu, Yahoo Japan: Asia Stock Preview
The following companies may have unusual price changes in Asian trading tomorrow.
Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the latest close. The information in each item was released after markets shut unless stated otherwise.
China Mengniu Dairy Co. (2319) (2319 HK): The milk producer plans to add one member to its board, according to Chief Executive Officer Sun Yiping. The stock climbed 3.8 percent to HK$21.70.
China Unicom (762) (Hong Kong) Ltd. (762 HK): The nation’s second-largest mobile phone company said it added 2.73 million third-generation service subscribers in May. The stock dropped 1.1 percent to HK$10.82.
Panasonic Corp. (6752) (6752 JT): The company expects sales of solar-power systems in Japan to account for a bigger proportion of its global total this year as the July 1 introduction of a so-called feed-in-tariff, or FIT, boosts demand. The stock sank 1.4 percent to 584 yen.
Yahoo Japan Corp. (4689) (4689 JT): The company will form a venture in New Delhi with the Bharti Group to develop Internet portals for mobile phones, according to a statement to the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The shares dropped 1.3 percent to 23,230 yen.
