Spanish 10-Year Bond Yield Advances to Euro-Era Record of 7.08%

Spanish 10-year bonds extended a decline, pushing the yield on the securities 20 basis points higher to 7.08 percent at 9:08 a.m. London time, a euro-era record.

The extra yield investors demand to hold the securities over similar-maturity German bunds expanded to 562 basis points, or 5.62 percentage points.
