Former Greek PM Simitis Urges Coalition Government, Skai TV Says
Former Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis said New Democracy, Pasok and Democratic Left are obligated to form a stable and effective coalition government, Skai TV reported, without saying where it got the information.
Simitis, the former head of the socialist Pasok party and prime minister of Greece from 1996 to 2004, said the three parties were pro-Europe and should work together to prevent an exit from the single euro currency.
