Peru Stocks: Buenaventura, Candente Copper, Southern Copper
The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the close in Lima.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) fell for a sixth session, dropping 0.3 percent to 20,634.18. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index rose 0.6 percent to 2,718.39.
Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, fell 2.8 percent to $38.35, in line with declines by its American depositary receipts, said Carlos Arias, head of research at Lima-based brokerage Andes Securities SAB.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian copper exploration company, jumped 5.7 percent to 56 cents after copper rebounded in New York.
Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO) , Peru’s biggest copper producer, gained 3.4 percent to $30.60.
