Rochelle on Houghton Mifflin Venue, NewPage, Dewey: Audio

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Co., a Boston-based educational publisher, is using a tiny subsidiary located in Manhattan as the basis for reorganizing the entire enterprise in New York, as Bloomberg Law's Lee Pacchia and Bloomberg News bankruptcy columnist Bill Rochelle explain on their podcast. Paper maker NewPage Corp. intends on using a forthcoming reorganization plan to frustrate unsecured creditors' in their attempt at suing secured lenders for financing allegedly fraudulent transfers. For the last item on the podcast, Rochelle explains how Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP managed to consume $43 million cash in six weeks before bankruptcy.
