News Corp.'s Fox Said to Gain $1.95 Billion in Ad Orders

News Corp. (NWSA)’s Fox television network received about $1.95 billion in advertising orders for the television season starting in September, said a person with knowledge of the situation.

Fox negotiated rates that are 8 percent to 9 percent higher than a year ago on about 80 percent of its advertising inventory, little changed from the previous season, said the person, who wasn’t authorized to talk publicly.
