Hungary’s State Mobile Firm to Call Network Tender, Nemzet Says

Hungary’s state-owned mobile service provider may call a tender for network expansion within weeks, Magyar Nemzet reported, citing unidentified people.

China’s Huawei Technologies Co. and ZTE Corp. (000063), Ericsson (ERICB) AB and Nokia Siemens Networks are interested in bidding, according to the Budapest-based newspaper.

Hungary’s fourth mobile service provider will start operations in early 2013, Nemzet said.
