Digiturk Gets $260 Million Four-Year Loan Via Standard Bank

Digiturk, the Turkish digital broadcaster controlled by Cukurova Holding AS, got a loan of $260 million from banks led by Standard Bank Group Ltd. (SBK), the loan’s arranger Standard Unlu Menkul Degerler AS said.

ING Groep NV (INGA), Turkiye Garanti Bankasi AS (GARAN), Turkiye Is Bankasi (ISATR) AS participated in the lending, which has a four-year maturity, the Istanbul-based broker said in an e-mailed statement today.

Digiturk got rights last year to show the country’s top soccer matches for an annual fee of $321 million.

Cukurova’s partner in Digiturk is Providence Equity Partners Inc., a private equity firm based in Providence, Rhode Island that holds 46 percent.
