Germany’s Renewable Subsidies to Rise 50%, Handelsblatt Reports

Germany’s subsidies for renewable energy will increase more than expected in the coming years, Handelsblatt reported, citing a confidential strategy paper from the Environment Ministry.
The subsidies will amount to 150 billion euros ($188.6 billion) by 2031 in contrast to an earlier forecast for 100 billion euros, Handelsblatt said, without disclosing how it got the information.
