Correa’s Cabinet to Boycott Ecuadorean Press, Spokesman Says

Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa and his cabinet will boycott any private media critical of the government, favoring the state-controlled press instead, Communication Secretary Fernando Alvarado said today.

“The government’s decision to not concede interviews to private media is based on consistency with the political discourse of the president,” Alvarado said, according to a statement published in the president’s official gazette.
