England Loses 22-17 in Opening Game of South Africa Rugby Tour

Morne Steyn and Jean de Villiers scored second-half tries as South Africa beat England 22-17 in their opening rugby Test in Durban.

Steyne also kicked four penalties for the Springboks, who outscored England 16-11 in the second half. South Africa has won eight straight games against England, the longest run by either team in 33 Test matches between them.

Ben Foden scored a try in the final seconds for England and Owen Farrell booted four penalties.

The three-Test series continues in Johannesburg on June 16 and Port Elizabeth on June 23.
