Hungary Stocks: OTP Bank, Est Media Shares Move in Budapest
The benchmark BUX (BUX) index rose 0.2 percent to 17,019.75 by the close in Budapest, extending its gain this week to 3.9 percent.
The following are among the most active shares in the Hungarian market today. Stock symbols follow company names.
OTP Bank Nyrt. (OTP) , Hungary’s largest lender, dropped as much as 1.6 percent and last traded 0.2 percent lower at 3,400 forint. Hungary’s economy contracted for the first time in more than two years in the first quarter, statistical data showed today.
Est Media Nyrt. (ESTMEDIA HB), a Hungarian entertainment company, gained for a third day, the longest winning streak since November, after saying on June 6 that it plans to issue three-year convertible bonds for a unit that organizes music festivals. The shares jumped 4.4 percent to 48 forint, bringing their advance in the past three days to 37 percent.
