ISRAEL DAYBOOK: Netanyahu Pledges Homes in West Bank Settlement

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to build new homes in the West Bank settlement of Beit El in an effort to defuse a political furor sparked by the court-ordered relocation of other settlers.

     EQUITY MOVERS:
* D. Medical Industries Ltd. (DMED IT) the developer of drug
delivery devices said a unit signed a non-exclusive agreement
with an undisclosed party for the distribution of its Spring
Universal Infusion Sets in the U.S.
* Scailex Corp. (SCIX IT), the mobile phone investor, said
Moody’s Midroog lowered its bonds to Caa3 from Baa1, keeping the
rating on the watchlist with a negative outlook.

     MARKETS:
* The TA-25 Index gained 1.3 percent to 1,069.64 yesterday.
* The yield on the Mimshal Shiklit government bonds due January
2022 rose three basis points to 4.41 percent.
* The shekel strengthened 0.1 percent to 3.8784 a dollar at 8:24
a.m. in Tel Aviv.
* Corn for July delivery added 0.2 percent to $5.8750 a bushel.
* Crude oil for July delivery gained 0.4 percent to $85.36 a
barrel.
* Gold for immediate delivery increased 0.2 percent to $1,621.82
an ounce.
