Emerging-Market Stocks Extend Gains After China Cuts Rates

Emerging-market stocks extended gains, sending the benchmark index to the highest level in seven days, after China cut its benchmark lending and deposit rates for the first time since 2008.

The MSCI Emerging Markets Index advanced 1.1 percent to 912.44 at 12:04 p.m. in London.
