Peru Stocks: Casa Grande, Credicorp, Minsur, Southern
The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the close of trading.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) rose 1.8 percent to 21,018.91. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 2.5 percent to 2,717.21.
Minsur SA (MINSURI1) (MINSURI1 PE), the world’s fourth-largest tin producer, rose 4.4 percent to 2.58 soles after tin advanced in London.
Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO) , Peru’s biggest copper producer, gained 3.1 percent to $29.60 after copper jumped in New York, said Jorge Ramirez, a trader at Lima-based brokerage Coril SAB.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian copper exploration company, climbed 3.1 percent to 66 cents.
Casa Grande (CASAGRC1) (CASAGRC1 PE), Peru’s largest sugar producer and a unit of Gloria SA, advanced 3.4 percent to 13.60 soles after sugar rose in New York.
Credicorp Ltd. (BAP) , Peru’s largest financial-services company, gained 3 percent to $121 after Itau BBA Securities analyst Nicolas Chialva rated the stock a new “Outperform.”
