The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close in Santiago.
Cencosud SA (CENCOSUD) fell for a third day, sliding 1.4 percent to 2,665.7 pesos. Chile’s largest retailer by sales will offer 125 million shares in New York, it said in a filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.
Banco Santander Chile (BSAN) fell 1.3 percent to 35.4 pesos, its third day of losses. The unit of Spain’s Banco Santander SA has retreated 4.5 percent in the last three days, the steepest three-day loss since Feb. 6, amid concern that Europe’s deepening debt crisis will require Spanish banks to seek further capital injections.
Empresas Copec SA (COPEC) advanced 1.1 percent to 6,793.9 pesos after two days of declines. The BHKP pulp price gained for a 22nd straight week, according to data released today.
