South Africa’s Total Banking Assets Grew 9% in 2011

South Africa’s total banking assets grew 9 percent to 3.4 trillion rand last year, the South African Reserve Bank said.

The industry’s capital adequacy ratio was 15.1 percent, the central bank said in its bank supervision annual report, which was released in Pretoria today.
