Romania’s Transelectrica Dismisses CEO, Names Mateescu Interim

Transelectrica SA (TEL) Chief Executive Officer Octavian Lohan was dismissed by the state-owned company’s board, according to a statement sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange today.

The Bucharest-based power-grid operator appointed Marius Ion Mateescu to fill in the position until a new CEO is appointed “in accordance with the rules regarding the corporate governance of state-owned companies,” Transelectrica said in the statement.
