Turkey Plans to Drop State Monopoly on Railroads, Sabah Reports

Turkey’s government is drafting a proposal that would drop the state’s monopoly on railroads, Sabah cited Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim as saying.
The revisions will enable investors to build new rail lines and purchase licenses to run existing parts of the network, Yildirim told reporters in Milan, according to the Istanbul- based newspaper.
