Argentina Stock Movers: Aluar, Petrobras, YPF Were Active
The following companies had unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the close of trading in Buenos Aires. The Merval (MERVAL) Index rose 0.6 percent to 2,354.31.
Aluar Aluminio Argentino SAIC (ALUA) gained 0.7 percent to 2.75 pesos. Argentina’s largest aluminum producer climbed in line with emerging-market stocks as speculation mounted China will take steps to boost its economy.
YPF SA (YPFD) , Argentina’s largest oil company, climbed 0.7 percent to 83.60 pesos after crude futures gained. Petrobras Argentina SA (PESA) rose 2.9 percent to 5.78 pesos.
