England Reaches 340-6 in Cricket Test; Trails West Indies by 30

England reached 340-6 in its first innings at lunch on day three of the second cricket Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, trailing the West Indies by 30 runs.

Captain Andrew Strauss is 125 not out, with Tim Bresnan on 4. Earlier, Kevin Pietersen made 80.

England won the first Test by 5 wickets at Lord’s in London, and needs to win the three-match series to stay atop the International Cricket Council’s Test rankings ahead of South Africa.

West Indies hasn’t won an away Test in a country other than bottom-ranked Bangladesh since winning in South Africa in December 2007.
