Canadian Pacific, Union Fail to Reach Agreement, Railways Says

Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. and union negotiators have ended labor talks without reaching an agreement, setting the stage for Canada’s federal government to end a five-day strike, a company spokesman said.

“The talks have ended and the legislative process, as I understand it, will now commence,” CP spokesman Ed Greenberg said today in a telephone interview with the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.
