Peru Stocks: Buenaventura, Maple Energy, Panoro, Rio Alto

The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of market close in Lima.

The Lima General Index (IGBVL) rose 0.5 percent to 20,744.49. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 0.2 percent to 2,656.48.

Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, jumped 14 percent to 67 cents as copper advanced for a second day in New York and investors bet the company will take on partner to develop its properties, said Jose Luis Bustamante, head of trading at Cartisa SAB.

Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO) , a Canadian gold miner, rose 3.1 percent to $4.04 after gold gained in New York.

Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, climbed 2.1 percent to $38.95.

Maple Energy Plc (MPLE) , the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, advanced 1 percent to $1.04 after crude gained in New York.
