Kinder’s Trans Mountain Pipe Oversubscribed by 68% in June

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP (KMP)’s Trans Mountain crude oil pipeline system is oversubscribed by 68 percent for June oil shipments, according to an e-mailed statement from the company.

Only 32 percent of nominated volumes can be delivered by shippers for the month, the Houston-based company said.

The Trans Mountain mainline system is expected to carry 288,985 barrels a day in June. The Puget Sound line will carry 144,847 barrels for the month.

The 715-mile (1,150-kilometer) Trans Mountain system runs from Edmonton, Alberta, to marketing terminals and refineries in central British Columbia, the Vancouver area and the Puget Sound region in Washington, according to the company’s website.
