Peru Stocks: Minera Atacocha, El Brocal, Southern Coppe
The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the close in Lima.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) rose for the first time in seven days, gaining 0.9 percent to 20,680.89. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 1 percent to 2,655.75.
Cia. Minera Atacocha SA (ATACOBC1 PE), the Lima-based silver and zinc mining company, rose 2.1 percent to 48 centimos after zinc futures advanced in London, said Jorge Ramirez, a trader at Lima-based brokerage Coril SAB.
Sociedad Minera El Brocal SAA (BROCALC1 PE), a zinc and copper producer, gained 2.1 percent to 49.60 soles after contract workers ended a 32-day strike.
Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO) , Peru’s biggest copper producer, climbed 1.8 percent to $28.70 after copper rebounded in New York.
