Czech National Bank Grants Mobile-Payments License, HN Reports

The Czech National Bank granted a license for payments via mobile phones to Mopet CZ, a Czech joint venture of three mobile operators and banks, Hospodarske Noviny reported, citing Mopet spokeswoman Vendula Volakova.

The service, called Mobito, will encompass online payments or money transfers and should start during the third quarter, the newspaper said.
