HSBC Readies Greek Branches to Dispense Drachmas, IoS Reports

HSBC Plc is preparing branches in Greece to cope with a return to the drachma, the Independent on Sunday reported, citing Iain Mackay, the bank’s finance director.

HSBC is training staff at its 15 locations in the country to manage computer systems and update cash dispensers in the event of a Greek exit from the European currency union, the newspaper said, citing Mackay.
